I got a job today. Yes. I GOT A JOB TODAY.
After months of endlessly scrolling job boards, sending countless LinkedIn messages, making awkward phone calls, sitting through interviews both in-person and online, and receiving—let me stress—so many rejections, the day I’ve been waiting for finally arrived. And I can honestly say, I am beyond grateful. Thrilled. Overjoyed. The mix of relief and happiness I feel right now is indescribable.
The company I’ll be joining isn’t just any company. It’s one I’ve admired for years, a brand that has been part of my life in small but meaningful ways. From the first time I engaged with them online to seeing their work in real life, it has always felt personal to me. To finally have the chance to contribute and grow with them—it feels like all the stress, uncertainty, and effort of the past months were leading up to this single moment. It’s surreal, and it feels like a dream I didn’t think I’d reach so soon.
The call came in at 10:17 a.m. I remember the number flashing on my phone, my stomach doing that nervous, fluttery thing, and me trying desperately to keep calm. Three minutes later, after one of the shortest but most life-changing phone calls of my life, I had the job offer in hand. I said yes immediately. I probably sounded ridiculous on the phone—too excited, too happy, too overjoyed—but honestly, I didn’t care.
When the call ended, I jumped out of my chair and bounced around my apartment like a kid. I texted my boyfriend first, then my friends, then my family group chat. The outpouring of love, congratulations, and excitement I got in return made the moment feel even more special. That kind of support is everything.
Here’s the thing about job searching—it’s brutal. If you’ve been in this boat, you know the feeling: sending out application after application, tweaking your resume for the hundredth time, going to interviews and walking away with nothing, or worse, never even hearing back. It wears on you. It makes you doubt yourself. You start questioning your worth, your skills, even your degree. I won’t lie: there were moments when I seriously thought I couldn’t do it anymore. I confided in my therapist that I was exhausted. I told myself, Maybe this isn’t for me. Maybe I’m not good enough.
But here’s the thing. I am smart. I am capable. I am deserving. I have resilience, creativity, and passion. Those months of rejection? They weren’t a reflection of my worth—they were a part of the process. And today proves that if you keep going, if you keep putting yourself out there, it will happen.
To anyone reading this who is exhausted, frustrated, or on the verge of giving up: keep going. Keep applying. Keep messaging. Keep showing up. The right opportunity is out there, and it will find you when you least expect it. And when it does, you’ll realize why every rejection, every anxious wait, every moment of self-doubt was worth it.
I got a job today. And it’s more than just a job—it’s a reminder that hard work, patience, and faith in yourself do pay off. It’s a reminder that your worth is not defined by rejection, by silence, or by the number of applications sent. It’s a reminder that your dreams are worth pursuing, no matter how long it takes.
I feel like I can breathe again. Like I’ve climbed a mountain and finally reached the peak. The months of stress, of fear, of feeling like I might never get there—they all feel worth it now. And even though I’ve been dreaming of this day for so long, the reality is still more thrilling than I imagined.

So, to anyone still in the middle of the job hunt, keep your head up. Keep your heart open. Keep believing in your worth, your talent, and your passion. Your day will come. And when it does, it will feel like everything you went through was leading you exactly where you were meant to be. You CAN do this, you will DO this.
I am so proud of all of you who are putting yourself out there. I know it’s not easy, but I see you, I hear you, and I understand you.

Wonderful! Congratulations!
💫 Luiza, your words don’t just celebrate a victory, they carry the quiet strength of those who have walked through doubt and still dared to hope. Thank you for letting us feel your joy, your vulnerability, your truth. Your story echoes deeply, especially for those of us still trying to find our voice, our people, our moment in the sun.
Your “yes” is a reminder that we are capable. That silence doesn’t mean we have nothing to say. That even in a world that sometimes forgets to listen, we are still becoming.
Congratulations from the heart, and may this next chapter bring you wonder, growth, and the recognition you’ve long deserved. 🌿✨
