A Good Week All Around.
My Weekly R.E.P.O.R.T. — Life Lately from 3/2/26 to 3/6/26| What I’ve been reading, eating, watching, and learning to love lately.
Reading.
Last week, I started So Old, So Young by Grant Ginder, and from the very first line, I was hooked. There is something magical about a book that grabs you instantly, and I had almost forgotten how thrilling that feeling is. On the first day alone, I tore through 75 pages, completely swept away by Ginder’s writing, which feels so vivid it practically leaps off the page.
The characters are a perfectly imperfect bunch—a group of six friends whose personalities clash and blend in the most delightful ways. This book has made me laugh out loud and almost cry more than once. I especially love how each chapter jumps to a different year in their friendship, capturing the messy, beautiful reality of college friends who adore each other but sometimes drive each other crazy.
Eating.
Nothing fancy in the food department this week, but I did treat myself to Shake Shack, and it absolutely hit the spot. Sometimes, after a long break, nothing beats sinking your teeth into a classic Shake Shack burger. Even though I have a bit of a lactose intolerance, my love for cheeseburgers and that glorious cheese sauce (always on the side) knows no bounds. That’s my go-to order every single time. I never leave home without a Lactaid tucked in my bag, just in case.
Playing.
I’m binge-watching Bridgerton and have finally finished season 1. I am just in the beginning of season 2 and am extremely excited to see what is to come in this next chapter. I also love how each season is about each of the Bridgerton kids.
Obsessing.
This week, I joined another writer’s workshop and crafted a new short story
which felt incredible. The group is full of warm, creative souls who make writing time feel both structured and inspiring—exactly what I have been craving. Making this workshop part of my weekly routine has been a game-changer, and I am so excited to keep it going. Writing feels like therapy to me, almost like meditation, and I cannot wait to see how this helps me stay inspired.
Recommending.
I am sure many writers do this, but I absolutely love lighting a candle while I write. It creates a warm, cozy atmosphere, making the whole experience even more relaxing. My current favorite is a New York-scented candle from Pink Olive, which I picked up at their Cold Spring location. They handcraft all their candles in-house, and their scents are truly wonderful. If you get the chance, definitely check them out—their candles smell amazing and add a special touch to any writing session.
Treating.
I have used the same makeup mirror for years, probably since college, one of those little ones that folds open and shut. It finally gave out on me, so I treated myself to a new one from Amazon. After putting it together and setting it up, I now have a bigger, brighter mirror that makes doing my makeup so much easier. This upgrade has truly felt like a treat.
That’s the week. Thanks for reading along. 💌
